Regulations

For the 2026 season, F1 Unlocked Race Direction has established the regulatory framework governing the performance and progression of all registered drivers. The system is divided into two fundamental metric units:

Laps

1. LAPS (Status & Classification Unit)

Laps (points) represent your accumulated mileage and activity level on the digital track. Laps, badges and quests dictate your standing within the hierarchy.

Sporting Function: These with quest and badges determine your Rank (Tier). The more Laps you record, the higher your standing—evolving from a Test Driver to a Legend of Racing.
Acquisition: Awarded for completing standard procedures: session logins, News Feed engagement, clearing Super License Quizzes, and setting times in the Arcade.
Technical Ceiling: The chassis is capped at a maximum of 9,999 Laps. Reaching this limit signifies the completion of your technical development for the current season.
Season Reset: At the conclusion of the annual calendar, the Lap counter resets to zero for the upcoming pre-season testing.

Hotlaps

2. HOTLAPS (Exchange & Rewards Unit)

Hotlaps (Credits) are the premium fuel required to access exclusive benefits. Unlike Laps, Hotlaps measure your accumulated capital for the internal marketplace.

Commercial Function: This is your virtual currency. You may trade your Hotlaps in the Store for digital assets, Mystery Boxes, exclusive bundles, and once-in-a-lifetime VIP experiences.
Accumulation: Earned through special achievements, skill-based challenge victories, and as performance bonuses for achieving a Rank promotion.
Persistence: Hotlaps do not expire. Accumulated credits remain in your account session after session, allowing you to save for the most prestigious rewards in the catalog.
