The challenge was to translate all the excitement and complexity of a Formula 1 Grand Prix into the palm of the fans' hands. The mobile app had to serve as the ultimate digital companion during the event weekend, facing the challenge of presenting a wealth of real-time information (maps, schedules, news, and services) within an intuitive, lightweight, and visually stunning interface that wouldn't falter under the high demand of simultaneous users.
As the person responsible for the app’s visual design and content architecture, I implemented a Mobile-First Design strategy focused on high-speed usability and aesthetics:
+ Mobile Interface (UI) Standarization: I created specific graphic design guidelines for the app, generating assets optimized for touchscreens, including custom icons, splash screens, buttons, and promotional banners that respect the global F1 brand identity.
+ Native CMS Implementation: I managed the complete structural configuration within the app’s native content management system. This included creating internal pages, structuring the navigation menu, and configuring dynamic modules to ensure seamless navigation.
+ Asset Curation and Optimization: I generated and uploaded all visual content, from product photos for the merchandise section to interactive maps and image galleries, ensuring that each resource was visually appealing but with the optimal file size to avoid compromising app performance.
+ Fan Information Architecture: I strategically structured the content so that the most critical information (such as the race schedule and access routes) was accessible in the fewest possible clicks, improving the user experience at the venue.
