Historically, the event relied heavily on physical tickets, which severely limited visibility over the ticket lifecycle and attendee behaviour—a critical issue given that three-day passes are frequently shared among multiple people. The strategic objective was to entirely phase out physical tickets for this edition in favour of a 100% digital approach. This transition aimed to enhance the fan experience, champion sustainability, and combat touting and forgery through high-security dynamic barcodes. The primary challenge, however, was cultural change management: ensuring mass, frictionless adoption by a traditional fanbase unaccustomed to digital wallets.

I managed the backend asset configuration, designed the distinct digital tickets for each day of the race weekend, and engineered an omnichannel educational campaign. This involved drafting the official press release, designing user-friendly infographics, and creating instructional email workflows to educate fans on navigating the Mexico GP Account Manager, transferring tickets safely, and adding them to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for swift, offline access at the gates. By marrying technical execution with clear, user-centric communication, we transformed initial resistance into a resounding success, achieving full digital adoption and unlocking unprecedented data analytics regarding ticket distribution and redemption.
